S&D Horseback Riding is a local, private riding stable created by Sonja Trefethen in 1990 as an alternative to traditional rent strings. The ranch is located in Norco, Horsetown USA at the edge of the Hidden Valley Wildlife preserve.

Our horses are acquired from different backgrounds. Some are received via consignment while others are donated in need of love and attention. We manage many breeds ranging from Missouri Fox Trotters, thoroughbreds, Arabians, American Quarter horses, Morgans, and much more. All of the horses that arrive at the ranch are evaluated in health and training with the intention of improving the horse in all aspects. It is our expectation and mission for every horse to leave our ranch healthier and happier than when it arrived.
